ISSUE
EDUCATION FOR ALL

GROUP MEMBERS
REGAN, CHELSEA , RACHELLE

OUR AIM
Our aim is to raise awareness and create a fair and standard education for all the children of the world. We want to help supply local school(s) with stationary supplies and textbooks. We also want to help enable teachers to better understand the children’s needs and the material they are teaching in order to improve education.

OUR MESSAGE
Everyone should be able to access free quality education but there are schools in Shanghai that don’t have the right materials or well educated teachers. If children don't get a good education, in the future they will have a hard time finding a job and supporting themselves.

“ The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives.”
- Robert M. Hutuchins
SHORT TERM GOALS
We want to make a wiki and advertise it around the school.
Find a local school that we can help supply.
Hold several bake sales to raise money.

LONG TERM GOAL
Buy supplies for school (stationary items)
Supply textbooks for schools and help them create a standard curriculum.
Educate teachers so they will be able to better prepare their students with knowledge and life skills.

PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Part One: Background-
Opening based on persuasive paragraph and reflection question about your issues in general

• Why is this issue a global one? What is the main problem?
This issue is affecting all of the children of the world and society’s next generation. The main problem is that students are not getting the complete education they deserve. Teachers should be better educated and have better materials to teach with.

• How is this issue affecting the world?
Without education, the world will not grow and prosper. The children who will inherit the earth, the future, need to be educated so that they can change the world. In order to be able to provide for themselves and their families, education is key. EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO THE FUTURE.
• What is being done to stop, prevent or fix this issue?
Many local schools are being provided with supplies, computers, and textbooks. As well as getting international, educated teachers But, there are still many schools that need help, that is our goal- to help the schools who need it most.

Part Two: Case Study- The specific area you choose to focus on

• Make sure to have some background on your specific area

• DISSCUSSION QUESTIONS

• What can we, as a school do to help? What can you as a person do?

• Why is this issue important to us, the students who ARE well educated?

• Why do you think some schools have limited resources?

Part Three: Action Plan:

• What do you propose to do?
o The purpose-
We feel passionate for the children who are not getting the education that they need to succeed in the future. We know we can help, we can make a difference.

o The message-
Many people do not understand the importance of this issue, also, anyone can help. So, we want to raise awareness.

Part Four: Conclusion
It’s too late to go home pretending that this is not an issue. Now, you know that you can make a difference! Tell people, donate money, and go on a mission trip. Anything you do can make a difference. We inspire you, implore you, to try your best, make an effort. What will you do to help the children? How would you feel in their shoes, you can help.
